Just another monstrous creatio

Haiti

January 23, 2010 Thoughts

It’s shown through newscasts, blogs, and even starts to show up on channels that we watch daily. It’s become evident that such disaster can push our selfish needs aside in order to help those less fortunate. Our ideals of living life to our own selfish content become less and less important as we see the newscast of children who lost their parents in Haiti or those who are stuck between piles of concrete still have hope to survive.

One thing that people need to understand is that Haiti is one of the places that have had problems economically and in stability from the start. Taking this disaster as a reason to support them is something we all need to look deeper into. How many of you have donated to countries in Africa where people have to walk miles to try and get water and might even return empty handed? Not many. It really does take a tragedy like this one to shine light on people and how they live and to take others into consideration.

For those willing to donate, please visit hopeforhaitinow.org or text HAITI to 90999.

It’s quite nice that you’re spreading awareness, those poor black folks need us now more than ever. I would donate, but I’ve got more important things to buy (Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Borderlands DLC)
